Joao Almeida won the eighth and final stage of the Tour of Switzerland, a 15.7 km climb time trial starting in Aigle and finishing in Villars sur Ollon.

The Portuguese from UAE Emirates finished with a time of 33'23" ahead of his teammate A dam Yates (33'32") and Mattias Skjelmose (33'44"). Yates thus wins the Tour of Switzerland ahead of Almeida and Skjelmose.

Triumphant week for UAE Emirates which won four of the eight scheduled stages.
