He wins the time trial ahead of Grace Brown
Elisa Longo Borghini won the opening time trial of the women's Giro d'Italia in Brescia.
The reigning Italian champion stopped the clock at the end of the 15 km course, at 20'37", preceding Grace Brown by just one second. That was enough to win the first pink jersey.
