By now the group is that of a Grand Tour. Congratulations to the organization for managing a machine that has become decidedly complex and for the ability to ensure satisfaction and safety for all participants.

The stage Rome – Rome

A catwalk in the noble heart of Rome, 35 kilometers in the myth of the capital . The departure with a view of Castel Sant'Angelo, and then the Lungotevere Aventine, the Tiber Island, the Baths of Caracalla, the Circus Maximus, the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Piazza del Popolo, up to the finish line in via dei Fori Imperiali: more than a cycling stage, a tourist excursion.

At the start, it is an absolute record of starters: 144 . Among them, many well-known names: Leo Gassmann and Massimiliano Rosolino with Enel X Way, Giancarlo Fisichella with Sara Assicurazioni, Paola Gianotti with CNH Industrial. In the ITALIA.IT team the representatives of the institutions including the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè and the Minister for Sport and Youth Policies Andrea Abodi. As captain of the Valsir team, replacing Igor Astarloa, there is Oscar Freire, three times world champion on the road. And for the first time Athletica Vaticana, the sports club of the Holy See, took part in the Giro-E as a Special Team, with its federation dedicated to cycling called Vatican Cycling.

In the end, after a long duel with Andrea Ziliani of Team Yamaha, the winner was Team Carglass with captain Giovanni Visconti . Final score: 1245 points against 925. Well done guys!
