Iztulia: Roglic wins the opening time trial

Primoz Roglic won the inaugural time trial of the Itzulia, a stage race that started today from the Basque Country. The Slovenian from Bora concluded his test in Irun, after 10 km, with a time of 12'31" at an exceptional average of 47.936 km/h. Roglic, who also took a wrong turn a few meters from the finish line, losing a few seconds, he is the first leader of the general classification.

The loser of the day is Remco Evenepoel , only fourth at 11 seconds also due to a fall in the first corners. Jay Vine arrives on the podium, just 7 seconds behind Roglic, and Mattias Skjelmose, 10 seconds behind the winner. Jonas Vingegaard defends, at 15 seconds, and Juan Ayuso, who reaches 16 seconds.
