Route and favorites of the 2026 Bretagne Classic

The Bretagne Classic , a 228-kilometre French category four race, will take place on Sunday 30 August.

The route is quite undulating, with sections about a kilometre long, with gradients that are not prohibitive, around 5%.

The outcome, in recent years, has smiled on the fast and resistant riders , with large groups fighting for victory in Plouay.

The two big favorites are Magnier and Philipsen , the two strongest sprinters among the starters: both in excellent condition and capable of holding their own on the climbs. Also in the event of a fast finish, we should mention Pithie , Bittner, Matthews, Fretin, and Gautherat.

Several teams will be trying to ride hard to narrow down the peloton, most notably UAE Team Emirates, led by Christen and Cosnefroy.

Also present is Gregoire , who also has an excellent speed, who will try to end the season on a positive note after a below par Tour.

Other men who could place include Lapeira, Berckmoes , Hirschi , who has already won this race, Vacek , Tesfation and Aranburu.
