Pogacar, second, returns to the yellow jersey. Vingegaard fares poorly.

Remco Evenepoel won stage five of the Tour de France, a 33km individual time trial starting and finishing in Caen.

The Soudal Quick Step rider, world champion in the specialty, finished with a time of 36'42" ahead of Tadej Pogacar, 16 seconds behind, and the excellent Edoardo Affini, third at 33 seconds.
