Team Visma Lease a Bike won the team time trial of the third stage of the Tour Auvergne Rhone-Alpes, on the 28.4 km course in Perreux.
The first team to set an interesting time was Team Jayco with 33'46", later improved by 2" by Uijtdebroeks' Movistar .
Lidl-Trek then rose to the top of the standings with a great performance by Ayuso and Skjelmose , while Seixas lost 13 seconds.
Netcompany Ineos set the best split times, but at -8 km Onley's chain fell off and his teammates were forced to stop: despite this, the British managed to beat Lidl with Onley and Vauquelin.
Team Visma, however, took advantage of their opponents' mistake and beat Netcompany by 9" with Jorgenson . EF finished 29" behind in third place and Baudin defended the yellow jersey.
