Aranburu Coup at the Bretagne Classic

Alex Aranburu (Cofidis) wins the Bretagne Classic - CIC, 228 km French race.

The initial breakaway of the day, initially made up of Bax, Faure Prost and Hoelgaard, was joined first by Herzog and Veistroffer, and subsequently by Hermans, Herzog and Thomas.

With 50km to go, a crash splits the main group, with Magnier crashing and retiring.

With 1 km to go, Aranburu attacked decisively and sprinted to victory; Kamp placed himself behind him, ahead of Borgo . The group, controlled by Hobbs, closed the gap to 21".
