The Italian second in the sprint, Vollering third

Grace Brown (Fdj Suez) surprisingly won the eighth edition of the women's Bastogne-Liège, run today over a distance of 152.9 km.

Strange race: a breakaway from a distance goes away while the group of the best doesn't react. There are three remaining up front: Elise Chabbey, Grace Brown and Kim Cadzow. On the Roche aux Faucons, the last climb of the day, Elisa Longo Borghini moves, with her also Demi Vollering and Katarzyna Niewiadoma. The three favorites of the day reach the fugitives -8 from the finish line for a six-man sprint: Brown defeats Longo Borghini, Vollering third.
