He will remain responsible for the women's track sector
Marco Villa , 56-year-old former track cyclist from Abbiategrasso, Olympic bronze medalist in the Americana in Sydney, is the new technical commissioner of the Italian national road cycling team (road race and time trial). The Cycling Federation announced this at the end of today's federal council. He takes over from Davide Bennati.

Now he is moving to the road but will also maintain, as the FCI reports, the role of track coach for the women's sector, together with Diego Bragato.
The Elite men's track team will be managed by Dino Salvoldi, who will continue to manage the Junior road and track teams. Marco Velo is the new coach of the women's national team.
