Van der Poel and Philipsen looking for more successes
Two stars and some possible surprises in the Alpecin Deceuninck starting in 2024.
Obviously the most important name is Mathieu Van der Poel , who costs 55 million: the world champion runs few races but when he is in action he becomes a points machine. Jasper Philipsen (45) also proved to be the strongest sprinter in the group: for him they are fantasy millions well spent for some classics such as Roubaix and stage races.
Kaden Groves (28) is a sprinter to watch closely for at least one grand tour and a few weeklong races. We are rooting for Luca Vergallito (2) who moved to the first team, waiting for the performances of Soren Kragh Andersen (17) especially in the one-day races (Sanremo in particular), Quinten Hermans (8) who however has to redeem an anonymous season, and Axel Laurance (3), world champion among the Under 23s.
To complete the squad, think about Timo Kielich (1), suitable for sprints and cobblestones.
