Christian Scaroni wins again. The Astana rider, after yesterday's success at the Classic Var, wins today the first stage of the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes, from Contes to Gourdon, 162 km.

Scaroni preceded Santiago Buitrago and Lenny Martinez, both from Bahrain Victorious, at the finish line.

Also in the top 10 was Lorenzo Fortunato, fourth, Scaroni's teammate. Tomorrow is the second and final stage.
