Taco Van der Hoorn wins the Betcity Elfstedenrace Dutch race (1.1), starting and finishing in Leeuwarden, 199.9 km.

The decisive move was initiated by Van der Hoorn himself who, with 23 km to go , attacked together with Laporte, Reinders, Taminiaux and Krijnsen.

The group fails to catch up with the escapees and, when it seemed that everything was set for a five-man sprint, it is once again Van der Hoorn who breaks away and manages to reach the finish line alone.

Laporte is beaten by Krijnsen in the two-man sprint for the remaining podium places.
