Carlos Canal second, Velasco third

Adam Yates won the 78th edition of the Coppa Agostoni, held today in Brianza over the 166.7 km distance. The British rider from UAE Emirates reached the finish line alone after his breakaway companion, Carlos Canal of Movistar, had to stop with just over 10 km to go due to a mechanical problem.

The Spaniard nevertheless finished second, about 1' ahead of Simone Velasco who won the group sprint over Paul Lapeira.
