It was the fifth and final stage, a 15.84 km time trial from Aigle to Villars with the last 10 uphill, to decide the fate of the 75th Giro di Romandie.

To conquer the success of the day, and the Swiss race, was Aleksandr Vlasov , author of a masterful test against time. The Russian, who finished in 33'40 ", preceded the surprising Simon Geschke of Cofidis (34'11) and Gino Mader of Bahrain Victorius (34'16"), all three on the final podium.

Rohan Dennis , leader of the standings before the time trial, lost over two minutes and slipped to eighth place.

Damiano Caruso , author of a good time trial (4th), closed the Romandie in sixth place recovering many positions compared to yesterday's fraction.
