The Amstel is an unpredictable race with its 33 walls to face with the start set in Maastricht and the arrival in Valkenburg, 5,200 meters after the last wall.

They are not impossible climbs, so the route is a perfect springboard for Mathieu Van der Poel , winner of the race in 2019 and recent winner of Flanders and Roubaix. Who can stop him?

Meanwhile, his Alpecin also fields Quinten Hermans and Axel Laurance who could also place well by helping their leader. The opponents will have to invent something to put them in difficulty: let's think of Thomas Pidcock , Ben Healy , Mattias Skjelmose, Maxim Van Gils, Benoit Cosnefroy, Michael Matthews and Dylan Teuns.

Watch out for UAE Emirates which in addition to a Juan Ayuso in great form, will also have Marc Hirschi, Joao Almeida and Brandon McNulty. Another team not to be underestimated is Visma looking for redemption with Tiesj Benoot and Matteo Jorgenson.

We hope a good result from Andrea Bagioli and Christian Scaroni while among the possible surprises we mention Maximilian Schachmann and Romain Gregoire.
