The Belgian gives up on the weekend's races and postpones his debut
It's certainly not the best way to start 2025: Arnaud De Lie fell during training , fortunately without serious consequences; however, the Belgian champion is forced to give up the races of the weekend in which he was supposed to take part, namely the GP Castellon and the GP Valencia , Spanish races in which he would have made his seasonal debut.
De Lie is said to have planned Etoile de Besseges and the Volta Algarve to prepare for the first classic of the season, the Omloop Nieuwsblad , a race that will also count towards Fantacycling, in category 5.
His condition will be evaluated in the next few days and, if the pain in his knee has passed, the 2002-born player will be able to continue his preparation, otherwise, he and Lotto Dstny will have to review their plans for this first part of the season.
