The Bahrain rider live on Fantacycling

After the fourth stage of the Tour of the Alps, Damiano Caruso spoke live on Fantacycling, in our usual in-depth analysis dedicated to the race.

The Sicilian rider of Bahrain Victorious shared honest thoughts on the moment he is living and, in particular, on the possibility of ending his career at the end of the 2025 season.

“The problem is not the training, but everything else: the family, the sacrifices, the time away from home,” he said. “In the last two months I have only been home for a week. It is not nice to see your children grow up through a cell phone.”

Despite the difficulties, Caruso reiterated his love for cycling: “I still like to ride my bike and make sacrifices. I feel useful to the team and also to myself.”

He left a glimmer of hope for the future: “It’s not a definitive no. There could be some second thoughts during the Giro d’Italia. We’ll decide everything together with the team. Now I just want to think about the Giro, have fun, be in the thick of the race and enjoy it. If I can do this, maybe something will change.”
