The Dutch sprinter leaves Jayco-AlUla for an ambitious new project with a two-year contract until 2027.

A transfer that is making waves in the cycling world: Dylan Groenewegen , one of the most successful sprinters in the peloton, has signed a two-year contract with the Unibet Tietema Rockets, leaving Jayco-AlUla after four seasons .

With a list of 75 professional victories, including six stages at the Tour de France, Groenewegen represents the most important acquisition made so far by the ProTeam team founded by former rider and YouTuber Bas Tietema.

The team's stated goal is to grow to WorldTour level and participate in the Tour de France. Groenewegen's arrival represents a fundamental step toward this goal , bringing not only a track record of sprint victories but also the experience of one of the most highly regarded riders in the international peloton.

Groenewegen is also joined by his trusted teammate Elmar Reinders , also from Jayco-AlUla, who will certainly be an important piece in the Dutch sprinter's sprint train.

"Dylan's signing marks a huge step forward for our project," Tietema said in the announcement on the team's YouTube channel. "We want to inspire people by showing what's possible when you dream big. Having a proven winner like Dylan on board demonstrates how serious we are about taking this team to the next level. With Elmar at our side, we're ready to pursue our ambitious goals: to be competitive in Grand Tours and win at the WorldTour level."
