"The wait is over, let's start!" A famous sports commentator would say. The Giro d'Italia 2022 starts and this morning we all woke up with a great desire for pink. It is not the glimmer of the last dream of the night, we feel it in the air, in the smell of coffee that brings us back to reality, in the sound of the pages of the newspaper touching each other: everything is pink, even the first page of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Giro ti amo”, we read like this throughout the first page and really savor the intense flavor of these three words. In the foreground is Nibali, behind him Carapaz and Van der Poel, the champions from whom we expect so much, perhaps everything, but the beauty is that we know nothing and we can only imagine what will happen. These are the moments that precede three weeks of emotions, and then we just have to run to line up our teams at Fantacycling , to close the last market changes, to fix our formation lined up with the Hamletic doubt about who to leave out of the "magic 9 ".  

But yes, it's time to let yourself go, one last sigh, let's save the formation and go: “let's start!”. We put down the phone and the tablet, and we go back to leafing through the Gazzetta; how beautiful the front page is today. Yes, Giro d'Italia, we love you .
