Another bad day for Evenepoel

Primoz Roglic (BORA Hansgrohe) wins the seventh stage of the Tour of the Dauphiné starting from Albertville and arriving uphill at Samoëns 1600 (155.3km).

The first part of the race is characterized by many withdrawals , mainly due to the consequences of the fall in the fifth stage, and by a breakaway made up of ten riders.

On the Col de la Ramaz, the penultimate climb of the day, Soler attacks from the breakaway and remains alone in the lead of the race. The Spaniard, 3'45" distant in the general classification from Roglic, climbs the hill with a lead of over 5' from the main group.

The forcing of BORA on the final climb of Samoens puts Evenepoel in crisis who breaks away at -7 km. Three kilometers later Soler holds a lead of just one and a half minutes over the yellow jersey group, reduced to around ten units.

The Spaniard's action ends 2 km from the finish line; Vlasov pulls the group until the last hundred meters, with Roglic leading the other men in the standings in the sprint for the second time in a row. Behind him are Jorgenson and Ciccone .
