The Italian sprinter: "I want to keep running to win"
Elia Viviani continues his career and moves to Lotto Cycling Team by signing a one-year contract: "I am very happy to extend my career with Lotto", says the Italian sprinter through the team's official channels. "First of all, I want to continue racing to win, but I also want to share my experience with this young team . I am ready to take on this role: to give advice to my new teammates, whether they are sprinters or not, and help them grow".
"At 36, I'm still very motivated. I'm still a sprinter. I want to win. After focusing on the Olympics and track cycling last summer, it wasn't easy to find a team because I hadn't been able to prove myself on the road. But then Stéphane (Heulot, ed.) heard about my situation and, suddenly, the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. My wife, Elena Cecchini, beat me to it. She rode for Lotto in 2015 and was absolutely thrilled that I would be riding for the Belgian team."
