Pogacar-Evenepoel duel, but watch out for surprises

It's time for the Flèche Wallonne! After the Easter surprise of Skjelmose triumphing in the Amstel Gold Race , here is the midweek appointment with another classic of immense historical and international prestige.

Once again, the bookmakers' favorite is Matej Pogacar. In fact, he is the favorite, because the Slovenian world champion is played at just 1.50 (Gekobet, Bet365, Better-Lottomatica, Betsson, Snai, Eurobet), while he rises to 1.85 (Sisal) and drops to just 1.25 in the head-to-head proposed by William Hill against Thibau Nys.

Nys himself is considered the counter-favorite : he is at 4 (Sisal), 5.25 (Bet365), 6 (Gekobet, Betsson, Sisal-Lottomatica, Eurobet) and 6.5 (Snai). The third alternative leads to Remco Evenepoel, the Belgian who has recently returned to great form: the bet is at 6 (Sisal), 7 (Gekobet, Betsson, Better-Lottomatica), 7.50 (Bet365, Snai, Eurobet), while he is the favorite (1.74 on Willam Hill) in the head to head with Skjelmose. In fact, fourth in the bookmakers' ranking is the Danish Skjelmose , whose odds vary from 11 (Better-Lottomatica) to 12 (Gekobet, Betsson, Snai), 15 (Bet365), 16 (Sisal) and 17 (Eurobet).
