Nicolò Garibbo (Team UKYO) wins the first stage of the Giro di Sardegna, 189 km from Castelsardo to Bosa.

The race explodes on the Villanova Monteleone mountain pass with Zana 's attack, who manages to detach all the other men in the group and rejoin the initial breakaway of the day.

Zana goes away with Gonzalez , but on the subsequent ups and downs Berrade , Garibbo and Garofoli come back.
In the following kilometers Gonzalez breaks away, while the main group remains more than a minute behind.

In the final there are several attempts, but none of them are successful. In the final sprint Zana tries to take the lead, but Garibbo is very good at resisting and winning. Third place for Berrade .
