Third place for Nerurkrar; Gee also takes the yellow jersey

Derek Gee (Israel Premier Tech) wins the third stage of the Tour of the Dauphiné from Celles-sur-Durolle to Les Estables (181.7km).

Three-way breakaway made up of Le Berre, Rochas and Sweeny which came close to 4' as the maximum advantage. Juul-Jensen manages to get back on the attackers 40 km from the end.

In the slightly uphill final, the group manages to catch up with the escapees, thanks to good work by Lidl-Trek and Ineos Grenadiers. In the last kilometre, Neilands tries to start, but is immediately closed down, Gregoire and Gee attack on the counterattack; none of the big names have the legs to catch them in the sprint. Gee manages to overtake Gregoire in the final sprint and Nerurkrar takes third place.

Good fourth place for Ciccone, Jorgenson, Buitrago, Vlasov and Roglic in the top ten. Derek Gee overtakes Cort Nielsen at the top of the general classification and takes the yellow jersey.
