Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) wins the second stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné from Prémilhat to Issoire (204.6km).

Four men attempted the day's breakaway: Guernalec, Ourselin, Juul-Jensen and Combaud, who were caught 35 km from the finish.

On the Cote de Nonette Bardet tries to pull away and gains about twenty seconds on the yellow jersey group, but is quickly reabsorbed.

The peloton then heads towards a sprint with a compact group, with Lidl-Trek working perfectly in the last 2 km and launching Milan who wins easily over Wright and Van der Poel .

The Italian rider also takes the yellow jersey .
