Olav Kooij wins the first stage of the Tour of Poland from Wrocław to Legnica of 199.7 km. The Dutchman from Team Visma precedes Paul Magnier and Jensen Plowright in the sprint.

It was supposed to be a sprint and despite the final attempt by Bauke Mollema , who was caught seven kilometres from the finish, the group reached the sprint.

Kooij, the favorite of the day, did not disappoint expectations and also wore the first leader's jersey in the general classification.
