In front of Baudin and Lecerf

Lorenzo Fortunato won the second stage of the Tour de Romandie, starting and finishing in La Grande Beroche, 157 km long.

A lively race with a breakaway that saw, among others, Hugh Carthy. But the good action developed on the hardest climb of the day, the Chaumont, where the strongest remained. On the descent, five went: Alex Baudin, Juan Pedro Lopez, Junior Lecerf, Fortunato and Lennert Van Eetvelt, who immediately gained a minute on the favorites.

The Italian rider of Astana anticipates the sprint and arrives alone at the finish line preceding Baudin and Lecerf. Evenepoel arrived 56 seconds later and regulated the group of the best.
