Milan comeback, but arrives in second place
Tim Merlier wins the eighteenth stage of the Giro d'Italia from Fiera di Primiero to Padua, 178 km long.
Great inspiration for the Belgian who on the final straight Milan and Groves . Dainese tries to surprise everyone by starting first following Hofstetter, but then, in the last fifty meters, Merlier reacts and cannot be overtaken by Jonathan Milan . The cyclamen jersey tries an amazing comeback in the final, but faces the sprint starting too far behind and is unable to go beyond second place.
Nothing changes in the general classification with Tadej Pogacar in the pink jersey with a 7'42" lead over Daniel Martinez and 8'04" over Geraint Thomas.
