We will try to get passionate about the announced duel between Carapaz and Almeida , we will understand if there is a way for compensation to Landa 's career, how much space there is for the ambitions of an unfinished one like Bardet and an unpredictable one like Dumoulin , if the many years prevent Valverde to hold up to the final mountains, if Simon Yates can finally find continuity and not lose his bright pink shade right on the most beautiful side.

Celes Pietrabuena for the Mundo Deportivo wrote that of the three major stage races, the Giro is the most unpredictable, because "everyone can take advantage of the absence of the big names". We don't really agree, the Giro d'Italia is unpredictable because, don't want to, it's the most beautiful of all. And then there will be the big names, as history says, which we too often tend to forget: at the start there will be a certain Vincenzo Nibali , who has won all three great laps in his career.
