Not only does Thibau Pinot know his main goal for 2023, which will be the Giro d'Italia, but also the other leaders of Groupama Fdj declared their ambitions at the team presentation which took place today, December 9th.

David Gaudu aims for a good general classification in the Tour de France. "The race suits me and makes me dream - said the 26-year-old transalpine, who has already competed in the Grand Boucle five times.

"We managed to finish fourth this year, but we are always aiming higher: the podium. The 2023 race route includes a difficult time trial and many mountain stages, for one of the most mountainous Tours I've ever seen" .

Arnaud Démare still can't say if he will take part in the Tour de France: "The milestone of 100 victories would be really great - he explained - in the history of French cycling, only Hinault, Jalabert and Anquetil have reached that figure, but unlike those three champions , I succeeded on behalf of only one team".

Valentin Madouas surprised last year with his third place in the Tour of Flanders. "For the classics and big races, we have a clear goal with the team, which is to win," he says. "Last year we achieved many podiums. This year, of course, the desire to win a monument is even greater. Personally, I hope to be as efficient as in 2022 and to take another step, to continue making progress and to be able to win more often".

Finally Stefan Kung , third in Paris-Roubaix last spring. But for him one race is central: the time trial of the World Championships in August in Glasgow. "The whole team is involved and puts all resources into action, in all sectors, to grab the holy grail: that rainbow jersey," says the Swiss specialist.
