Good news for the former world champion ahead of the Vuelta

The cycling week concluded with two stage races featuring some of the brightest talents on the international scene. On the one hand, the confirmation of local icon Mads Pedersen at the Tour of Denmark , on the other, the rise of young Belgian Junior Lecerf at the Czech Tour .

In Denmark, Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) confirmed his dominance by also winning the fifth and final stage, finishing in Silkeborg, where he outsprinted a small group after making the final selection together with his teammates Kragh Andersen and Söderqvist.

It is the third overall victory for the former world champion, who finished the race with a clear margin.

A breathtaking finale decided the 2025 Czech Tour . With 4km to go on the Pustevny climb, third-placed Cian Uijtdebroeks (Visma | Lease a Bike) attempted a major coup with a solo attack that put the other GC riders in trouble.

Initially, he seemed poised to take the stage and the jersey, but was outmaneuvered in the final meters by Jannis Peter (Team Vorarlberg), who passed him just as the finish line was in sight. Uijtdebroeks nevertheless finished ahead of Junior Lecerf (Soudal Quick-Step), who, thanks to his finish, defended the leader's jersey and secured the overall victory. Alessandro Fancellu's third-place finish is noteworthy.
