Giulio Ciccone won the San Sebastian

Giulio Ciccone of Lidl Trek won the 44th edition of the San Sebastian Classic, run today in the Basque Country over the 213 km distance.

The race was decided first on the Erlaitz climb, where Del Toro and Ciccone remained in the lead, and then on the final Tontorra climb, 10 km from the finish, when Ciccone dropped the Mexican, held off Ian Christen's comeback, and set off again to reach the finish line alone.

Behind him comes Christen of UAE Emirates, then Maxim Van Gils who precedes Tiesj Benoot and Isaac Del Toro for third place.
