Pogacar's return and other interesting names for the two Canadians

Two races in three days. We are talking about the Canadian races valid for the World Tour that will be held on Friday 13 and Sunday 15 September. While the start list is practically the same for both (even if still partial), the routes change.

Let's start with the Quebec GP , with its 201.6 km and 3,000 meters of altitude difference thanks to a 12.6 km circuit to be repeated 16 times. A race more suited to fast men or in any case riders capable of playing for success in a sprint (in the roll of honor the names of De Lie in addition to Matthews and Sagan twice) but also the so-called 'finisseur' as in the case of Cosnefroy winner with a masterstroke in 2022.

Sunday the demanding Montreal GP : 209.1 km with 4,500 meters of elevation gain and a 12.3 km circuit to be tackled 17 times. In between four climbs with the final ascent that has already rewarded Adam Yates and Tadej Pogacar in the recent past. And the Slovenian is the most anticipated star of both races: will he aim to do a double or will he focus only on Sunday's race more suited to his characteristics? Juan Ayuso also makes his return to the UAE Emirates after the stormy post-Tour de France period.

Among the favourites of the Quebec GP we must mention De Lie again, but also Matthews, Aranburu, Girmay, Zingle, Lapeira, Laurance, Mohoric and Strong.

For the Montreal GP we mention Jorgenson, Alaphilippe, Bardet, Madouas, Bettiol, Bilbao, Van Gils and Williams, fresh winner of the Tour of Britain.
