Pogacar and De Lie try, but are caught in the final
Michael Matthews wins the Quebec GP, a 201.6 km Canadian race.
With 50km to go, UAE Team Emirates began working to reduce the gap to the two leaders: Shmidt and Van Den Broek , in fact, still maintained a margin of over 4' on the group.
During the penultimate lap the escapees are caught, but none of the favorites tries to break away. Jorgenson is the first to move: the American tries to get ahead on a flat stretch, before the steep climbs.
Alaphilippe's attack brings the group back to Jorgenson, then it's Pogacar 's turn to attack and he remains in the lead with three Lotto riders: De Lie , Van Gils and Berckmoes. In the last kilometer, however, the group comes back and the victory is decided by a bunch sprint.
Matthews takes the lead in the final sprint, no one can overtake the Australian who triumphs for the third time at the Quebec GP. Girmay comes close to a comeback and finishes second, third place for Molard .
Fifth place for Hagenes, Pogacar placed seventh, while Zambanini, the best Italian to cross the finish line, closed the top ten.
