The Tour de France favorites

There are less than 24 hours to go until the start of the 2026 Tour de France with the team time trial in Barcelona tomorrow at 5 pm.

Last night, during our lounge , we drew up our usual tier list , with the favourites to win the Grande Boucle divided into bands.

The rider to beat will obviously be Tadej Pogacar , who has raced less than usual in the first part of the season and will be banking heavily on this Tour de France.
Behind the world champion is Jonas Vingegaard , winner of the Giro d'Italia and he seems to be the only one capable of fighting with the Slovenian on the climbs.

Paul Seixas will have a lot of attention and pressure on him: the 2006-born starlet is the third man for the general classification and is ready to amaze.
It will be interesting to see how Red Bull Bora will manage, one of the most aggressive teams and capable of fielding a particularly brilliant duo like Lipowitz-Evenepoel , as well as Lidl-Trek who will have the Ayuso-Skjelmose pairing.

Among the podium contenders we also mention Del Toro , whose primary task will be to help Pogacar, but who at the same time will be able to take care of his own personal classification and aim for the white jersey.

For a top ten , however, we highlight Johannessen, Carapaz, Pidcock, Lenny Martinez, Uijtdebroeks, Vauquelin, Van Wilder and Jorgenson.
