O'Connor and Castrillo the main surprises; Joao Almeida flops

Primoz Roglic won the Vuelta a España for the fourth time in his career, the Slovenian champion undoubtedly deserves a +4 rating. The same plus goes to Castrillo and O'Connor , the big surprises of the race: the former won two stages, while the Australian was the protagonist of the failed breakaway in the sixth stage and finished in second place overall, after having held the red jersey for thirteen days.

Mas and Lipowitz , 3rd and 7th in the standings, brought home a great haul of fantasy points and both saw their value increase by 3.

Positive results in terms of escapes and final placings, moreover, for Soler , Poole, Berrade, Vacek, Skjelmose, Carapaz, Gaudu , +2 for them, and for Vine and Schmid (+1).

As for the fast finishes, Van Aert (+2), winner of three stages before retiring, Groves (+2), two victories and the green jersey, Bittner (+2) and Miquel (+1) performed well.

Joao Almeida (-3) was the most disappointing rider: one of the favourites on the eve of the race, he withdrew after just a few stages and only took home 120 fantasy points; our Ciccone (-2) unfortunately didn't shine either, retiring after just nine stages due to a fall.

Many riders did not meet expectations and brought fewer fantasy points than expected, for them the capital loss is -1: Van Baarle, Kuss, Rubio, Haig, Caruso, Martin, Izagirre, Coquard, Quintana, Tiberi, Martinez, Gall, Geoghegan H., A.Yates, Arensman and Uijtdebroeks.
