Ganna takes advantage of this and wins the first stage

Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers) wins the first stage of the Volta ao Algarve (2.Pro), from Portimão to Lagos (192.2km).

Something incredible happened in the finale, with the group that was launching itself towards the predictable final sprint, but most of the riders took the wrong path and ended up in a parallel lane.

Very few athletes took the right path, among these Ganna stood out, who pulled away in the last few hundred meters and won alone ahead of Gregoire and Christen .

Tomorrow will be the queen stage of the short Portuguese race, with 5 gpm and the arrival at altitude on the Alto de Foia.
