Group sprint, Battistella does well

Paul Lapeira wins the second stage of the Itzulia Basque Country from Irun to Kanbo, 160 km long. The Teal Decathlon AG2R La Difesa rider precedes Samuele Battistella and Louis Vervaeke in the group sprint.

The big names don't take risks also due to the road made treacherous by the rain. At the end Geoghegan Hart falls, the Lidl-Trek leader loses ground, his condition needs to be checked.

All unchanged in the general classification with Primoz Roglic still leading ahead of Mattias Skjelmose and Remco Evenepoel .
