Decisive action on the Spluga Pass

Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates) wins the fourth stage of the Tour of Switzerland from Heiden to Piuro, 193km.
Today the group does not give much space to the escape which is in fact reabsorbed on the Spluga Pass. Right on the Spluga Almeida tries to attack and manages to create a gap.
The Portuguese climbs the summit with 40" on a group of 8 pursuers and with 1'25" on Gregoire. On the descent Almeida loses a little, while behind Gregoire manages to come back with Kamna and Alaphilippe on the first chasing group.
Almeida manages to defend himself in the final that tends to rise slightly and wins the stage. Behind him Onley beats O'Connor in the sprint for second place, with a few seconds ahead of the yellow jersey group regulated by Vauquelin.
