Team Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale officially bids farewell to Ben O'Connor who, after four seasons in the French team, will join Team Jayco AlUla .

The French team dedicated a beautiful thought to O'Connor through their social profiles , underlining the value of the Australian runner, not only from a sporting point of view: "Dear Ben, In addition to the exceptional sporting results that we have achieved together, all the team members have appreciated your personality during these four years. We have seen you grow step by step to become one of the top five runners in the group. We are proud of it. Hey friend, we wish you all the best!"

O'Connor this season came in second at the Vuelta , also wearing the red jersey of leader of the general classification, fourth at the Giro d'Italia and second at the world championship in Zurich , behind the untouchable Pogacar . A season embellished with other excellent results such as fifth place at the Tirreno Adriatico , second at the UAE Tour and the Tour of the Alps , in addition to victories in the mixed team time trial at the world championship. A palmares that allowed O'Connor to score 3376 points at the Fantacycling , eighth overall among all the riders, behind Pogacar, Evenepoel, Philipsen, Roglic, Van der Poel, Vingegaard and Jorgenson.
