Only 3 stages, but all treacherous and with an uncertain outcome
The 2025 Fantacycling season officially begins with the women's Tour Down Under !
The Australian race will consist of three stages, from January 17th to 19th, with arrivals scheduled for around 4am Italian time.
Stage 1 Brighton - Snapper Point (101.9 km) : the first stage includes a first category GPM at about halfway, a final section with rolling terrain and the last 6 km completely flat; a sprint finish is likely, although some sprinters could lose the wheels of the group.
Stage 2 Unley - Willunga Hill (115 km) : This will be decisive for the general classification with the now famous uphill finish on Willunga Hill (3.4 km at 7.3%).
3rd stage Stirling - Stirling (105.9 km): final stage without a single meter of flat ground with the Stirling circuit to be repeated four times, but without long climbs and steep gradients. The finale then tends to go uphill; those who were delayed on Willunga Hill could try to reverse the situation.
The most anticipated athletes I am Fisher Black and Bradbury, immediately followed by Swinkels, Chabbey, Dygert and Spratt. As for the Italians, there are ten Italians at the start, but it is unlikely that any of them will be able to compete for the final victory.
