First four stages in Piedmont revealed
After the Tour de France , which started in Florence in 2024, another important ASO stage race will also start in Italy .
The 2025 Vuelta , in fact, will start in Turin and the first four stages of the program have been revealed. It will not be the first time that the Spanish race will start from abroad; after Lisbon in 1997, Assen in 2009, Nîmes in 2017, Utrecht in 2022 and Lisbon Oeiras and Cascais in 2024, next August 23 the start will be from Turin-Venaria Reale , already the scene of the start of the Giro d'Italia this year.
The location of the team presentation has yet to be defined.
The inaugural stage will start from Turin-Venaria Reale, pass through Turin, with the “Km 0”, and head to Novara on a route of 183 kilometers. The second will start in Alba (Cn) and finish 157 kilometers later in Limone Piemonte (Cn), marking the first summit finish of the race . The third will take place from San Maurizio Canavese (To) to Ceres (To), for 139 kilometers. The fourth and final Italian stage, with finish in France , will start from Susa (To).
An investment, by the Piedmont Region , of approximately 4.5 million euros.
