The two elite men's road cycling events will take place tomorrow, Thursday 25 June, and Saturday 27 June.
The individual time trial will take place on a 40 km route from Vicoforte to Barolo: it will not be a route for pure specialists, with several not particularly difficult climbs (500 metres of altitude difference).
The clear favorite is Filippo Ganna , who dominated the Giro time trial; challenging him will be Sobrero, Cattaneo, Affini, and Milesi.
On Saturday, the road race will take place, again in Piedmont, from Asti to Cuneo for a total of 232 km and 2,500 meters of altitude difference.
Here too, the route won't be particularly demanding, with a rolling central section featuring two official categorized climbs (Monforte d'Alba and Murazzano). The final section's profile could favor a sprint by an almost full peloton.
