Lidl-Trek immediately dominant with Skjelmose unleashed

Mads Pedersen won the first stage of the Tour of Denmark (2.Pro), from Nexø to Rønne, 178 km.

On the climbs in the last 20 km it was the Dane, together with his teammate Skjelmose , who split the group with a series of attacks: the two managed to take away a group of 8 riders, which then became 10 after reaching the initial breakaway of the day.

The stage ended in a narrow sprint in which Pedersen beat Kubis and Haugsted . The main group, led by Henrik Pedersen, reached the finish line 38 seconds behind.
