The question of fans and fantamanagers, these days, is only one: can Tadej Pogacar also win the Milan-Sanremo?

The answer will be on Saturday, when the Slovenian will be at the start of the Spring Classic with a large group of favorites and outsiders ready to sell their skin dearly.

It would be easy to argue that no one doubts his qualities even in such an unpredictable race as the Sanremo, which measures almost 300 km covered in just under seven hours.

It is said that Pogacar is "the man who really knows how to do everything": we at Fantacycling have tried to analyze the pros and cons for a possible victory in the first round of our Monument Trophy (the other races are Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix , Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Giro di Lombardia). Let's try to understand what will happen:

Pro : Pogacar wins because he is the most in form and with his team, the UAE Emirates, he will do the hard race to put the sprinters in difficulty and avoid fighting for the victory with them. It has proven to be good on all terrains and when you have the enthusiasm on your side it is an added value that should not be underestimated. Furthermore, it is so strong that a click on the Poggio would be enough for him to be alone.

Cons : Pogacar does not win because he will be super controlled by the other teams and because the other teams will join forces to avoid his coup on the last ascent. He also spent a lot in the first races (all won between Uae Tour, Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico) and cannot always be 100%. And the short length of the Poggio could not allow him to make a considerable selection.
