The Colombian at the press conference: "I'm a fighter, I want to go forward"
Nairo Quintana does not retire . The Colombian rider communicated his will during a press conference in Colombia, letting it be known that he wants to continue at the top level: “I'm a fighter, I don't give up, I continue, I'll stay on the bike as long as my heart and my body allow me. I've always been an honest racer, all the doping tests I've done during my career have proved it.
I thank all the Colombian teams that have offered me an opportunity, but my will is to continue competing in the most important races in the world. The competition is part of me, now I'm a rider without a team, but I'm in good shape, I want to put on a lat and compete."
There have been many rumors about the teams that have contacted Quintana, the Colombian has not denied, but has not communicated other details: "We are looking towards the second week of February, we have a trip to Mexico planned, I continue to take advantage of the time to put on track not only what is Nairo Quintana as a sportsman, but also as a company. I will go to prepare La Gran Fondo Mexico and from there I will go to Europe. In some moments I had the opportunity to speak with some teams and it did not arrive at the end of the negotiation and that's why I'm planning this trip in February: I'll see what can materialize".
