Fabio Jakobsen wins the second stage of the Paris-Nice with arrival in Orléans . The Dutch sprinter beats Wout Van Aert , who had tried to surprise him by anticipating the sprint, while in third place the other Jumbo Visma , Christophe Laporte . It was supposed to be a stage without any particular surprises and instead, due to the wind, many men in the standings lost ground, including Schachmann, Almeida and Jorgenson.

To underline the seventh place of Luca Mozzato (B&B), first of the Italians. In the standings the leader is still Laporte with a 5 "advantage over Van Aert and 11" over Roglic.
