After Filippo Fiorelli, Visma Lease a Bike has acquired another Italian rider. Davide Piganzoli will ride with the team for the next three seasons after leaving Polti.

The 23-year-old from Valtellina is considered one of the most promising young riders in stage racing and aims to grow further in this role with the Dutch WorldTour team.

He has competed in the Giro d'Italia twice, finishing 13th and 14th, and has already achieved notable successes such as a stage win and the overall classification at the Tour of Antalya.

"Davide is a rider with great potential," said Grischa Niermann, technical director of Team Visma | Lease a Bike. "He will initially have a supporting role in our Grand Tour teams, but he will also have the opportunity to develop his own talents. We want to support him as he grows into a top-level general classification rider. We're delighted he's chosen our project."

Piganzoli doesn't hide his enthusiasm for this new adventure:
