Michael Matthews broke both wrists in a training fall.
The announcement from his team, Team Jayco AlUla, came this afternoon and explained how the Australian had an accident and was taken to hospital.
Matthews had made his debut in the early season races in Spain and won the Castellon Grand Prix .
Another man expected for the upcoming classics season will therefore certainly be out of contention for the Milan-Sanremo, his main goal, and for all the cobbled races.
